Creating a directory

Adding an organisation or client, and switching between them.

A directory is one organisation: its own knowledge, settings, members, work and history. Most people have one. Agencies, investors and anyone working across several companies have several.

Creating one

Create a directory from the directory menu and give it a name. A URL prefix is derived from the name; if it is taken, a suffix is added.

Give it a website

The single most useful thing you can do next. Set the website in directory settings and run an audit, and the directory arrives with a model instead of empty.

Switching

The directory menu switches which one you are in, keeping you on the same kind of page — if you are looking at Issues, you land on Issues.

Keeping them separate

Directories do not share knowledge. Work in one is answered from that directory's model only. This is the point: a client's competitive analysis must not be informed by another client's data.
