Connect
Attaches a source the work should read: a connected tool, or a specific repository.
For code, you can connect a GitHub repository, browse its tree, and have the work read it — useful when the question is about what the software actually does rather than what the documentation claims.

Skills
Brings reference material to bear — published thinking on the kind of problem you are working on, matched to the request.
When the Upskill setting is on, you see the specific passages behind a matched skill rather than only its name. It is a display setting: what the work reads is the same either way.
Turn it off for a quieter interface; leave it on if you want to judge whether the reference material is any good.
