Everything starts from a website URL. Before you can ask for anything, three questions build the first version of your organisation model, and the first one is the URL. This page walks through what each answer changes, and what happens in the minutes after.
Sign in with Google from the landing page. There is no separate password to manage. Depending on capacity a new account may be held at a waiting screen until it is approved; you are told by email when it is.
What is the website URL?
The single most important input. The site is fetched and read: what you sell, who you sell it to, how you describe yourself, your brand, your imagery.
A holding page produces a thin model. Start from the right domain; it is easier to fix a thin model later than to start from the wrong company.
This URL also keys the shared knowledge the system keeps for your domain, so two people modelling the same company get the same starting point.
Who are you answering for?
Where is it today?
Stage decides which problems are worth raising. A company with no users and a company with lumpy revenue have different bottlenecks, and the system should not offer pricing-elasticity work to a company that has not shipped.
The options run from Idea only — nothing built through to Scaling — the question is how fast, not whether.
All three questions are compulsory. They take under a minute and they are the difference between generic output and output about your company.
What happens next
Your answers create a directory — one modelled organisation, named after the site — and start the first modelling run. It reads the site stage by stage: market, customers, product, brand, pricing, channels, business model, strategy and the rest.
You do not have to wait for it. You can start asking for things immediately, and the model fills in behind you. Within a few minutes Memory in the sidebar holds docs that did not exist before — a first read of your market, your customers, your positioning.
Check it, and correct it
Read the first few docs in Memory. They are ordinary, editable content. Where the read is wrong — the wrong customer, an old price, a product you retired — fix it. Corrections hold for every later task; a longer request next time would not.
If you got an answer wrong
Change it. The website lives in directory settings, and re-running the audit refreshes the model from the new site. See Ontology and audit.
Signing in afterwards
The same Google sign-in returns you to your workspace. Sessions are listed under Sessions and security, where you can sign out of a device you no longer have.
