Directory settings are in the sidebar under Settings, in the group named after the directory. Changes apply to that directory only.

With automatic organisation off, output lands unfiled and you file it.
Writing
Three notes worth having:
- The permission gate's "Continue, don't ask again" turns the setting off for the whole directory. It is the same switch.
- Choice variables set to Off disables variants entirely. Each variable adds work, so this is also a cost control.
- Upskill is display-only. What the work reads is identical either way.

Issues are raised either way; the last setting only controls the meeting.

Audit
The directory's website, a Run audit button, and a read-only summary of what each stage has settled. That summary travels with every request as part of the directory's context.
Saving
Most settings save with Save changes. Three write immediately: the permission gate, choice variables, and Upskill.
