MOVIN is an Indian business-to-business express logistics brand, launched in May 2022 as a joint venture between UPS and InterGlobe Enterprises. The name is a contraction of "MOVEMENT+INDIA". It runs air and ground express services across India for IT, electronics, apparel, healthcare, auto components, e-commerce, consumer durables and FMCG shippers, and reaches internationally through UPS. For a unified commerce database, MOVIN is a carrier: the objects that matter are rates and serviceability, shipment creation and waybill, pickup, tracking events, proof of delivery, NDR and RTO. None of those are available through a public API, and this page says so rather than guessing.
The catalogue entry that prompted this page described MOVIN as a Reliance joint venture. That is wrong. MOVIN's own About Us page and its press releases identify the parents as UPS and InterGlobe Enterprises, the latter being the group behind IndiGo. The operating company is MOVIN Express Private Limited. Reliance has no stated involvement. The catalogue record should be corrected.
At a glance
What it is
MOVIN was formed to put UPS's network operating model into the Indian domestic B2B express market, using InterGlobe's local presence. UPS describes itself on MOVIN's own about page as one of the world's largest companies with 2025 revenue of 88.7 billion US dollars, operating in more than 200 countries with around 460,000 employees. InterGlobe Enterprises is an Indian conglomerate spanning aviation, hospitality, logistics and technology, with more than 70,000 people across 150-plus cities, operating since 1989.
MOVIN is explicitly B2B, not a direct-to-consumer parcel network. It does not sell itself as an e-commerce last-mile carrier and it is not a cash-on-delivery network in the way Delhivery, Ecom Express or Xpressbees are. That matters for a commerce database: a D2C brand is unlikely to be shipping consumer orders through MOVIN, but may well be moving stock into warehouses or servicing trade customers with it.
The published service catalogue as of September 2026:
MOVIN Healthcare, announced in November 2025, is a dedicated vertical for pharmaceutical, medical technology, diagnostics and laboratory shippers, which is where the HC GOLD and HC SILVER time-definite products sit. A Surat facility opened in May 2026 and a September 2026 release describes scaling capacity, network and technology infrastructure ahead of the peak season. The brand was named Best Brand 2024 at the ET NOW Best Brands Conclave and won Innovation in B2B Logistics at the CII SCALE Awards 2023.
The technology claims MOVIN makes for itself on the services page are "one-click booking and mobile technology", "multi-layer tracking", "real-time shipment visibility" and "SLA-based service offerings". Those describe a portal and a mobile app, not an API.
API access
There is no public API. The specific checks made, so this is a finding rather than an impression:
movin.inhas a published sitemap with thirteen URLs. It contains no developer, API, integration or documentation page. The full list is the home page, contact, about us, our services, careers, press releases, fuel surcharge, privacy policy, refund and cancellation policy, terms of carriage, an extended liability cover page and a 404 page.api.movin.inanddeveloper.movin.indo not resolve in DNS.- The shipping operations area at
movin.in/movin/user/authorizereturns HTTP 403 with the message "The page you are trying to view has limited access and can be viewed by authorized users only", offering Employee Login, Customer Login and Sign up. - The word "API" does not appear anywhere on the public pages read.
- MOVIN is not listed as a courier partner in Unicommerce's public integration list, and it has no carrier integration page on ClickPost, which maintains public pages for more than 400 carriers including most of the Indian market.
- One aggregator route does exist: Shipmozo names MOVIN among the courier partners on its courier integration page. So a seller can book MOVIN shipments through Shipmozo's panel. Shipmozo's own API is undocumented publicly as well, see /connectors/shipmozo, so that route trades one undocumented interface for another, but it is the only indirect path found.
What is publicly available is a tracking form at movin.in/shipment/track, which accepts a reference number. The page carries a notice telling customers to enter their "New Tracking ID" in the Reference Number field, and to call or email support if they do not have one, which suggests a tracking identifier migration at some point. That form is a web page, not a documented endpoint, and building a connector on top of scraping it would be fragile and outside the terms of carriage.
The realistic route to integration is the contract. MOVIN is sold by a sales team to shippers with volume. Ask digitalsales@movin.in for the technical integration pack when negotiating, and get the following in writing before assuming anything: whether an API exists at all, whether it is REST or SOAP or EDI or flat file, whether tracking is pull or push, and whether the UPS Developer Kit covers MOVIN shipments given the shared ownership. That last question is the most interesting one, and this page cannot answer it.
Authentication
Not published. No scheme, endpoint, header, credential type, token lifetime or scope model is documented anywhere public. The customer portal uses a session login, and whether any machine credential exists behind it is unknown.
Objects we can read
Orders, order items, products and listings, inventory, customers
None. MOVIN is a carrier and holds no commerce objects.
Shipments and tracking
Publicly, one thing: a tracking lookup by reference number through the web form at movin.in/shipment/track. The response is rendered as a page. No documented endpoint, no documented response schema, no documented event vocabulary, no documented status codes.
What a MOVIN shipment record must contain, given the product set, and therefore what to ask for:
- the waybill or tracking reference and the service code (Express End of Day, Express EZ, Standard Premium, NFO, HC GOLD, HC SILVER)
- origin and destination pin codes and the serviceability answer for a pin code pair
- the committed delivery date and time window, since every service is sold as day-definite or time-definite
- scan events with timestamp, location and status
- proof of delivery, including receiver name and signature, which is a hard requirement in B2B
- non-delivery and re-attempt records
- weight, dimensions, number of pieces and the chargeable weight after volumetric calculation
Returns and cancellations
Not published. B2B reverse logistics exists on the network but no public object describes it.
Payments and settlements
Not published. A fuel surcharge page is published at movin.in/support/fuel-surcharge, which is the one piece of public pricing mechanics; rate cards are contractual.
Locations
A branch locator exists in the portal's quick tools. No public list of facilities or pin code serviceability file was found.
Writing back: listings, price and stock
Not applicable, this is a carrier. MOVIN holds no listing, price or stock.
The write path on a carrier is shipment create and cancel. MOVIN's own description of "one-click booking and mobile technology" places booking in the customer portal and the mobile app. No public API for creating a shipment, generating a waybill, printing a label, requesting a pickup or cancelling a booking exists. Until MOVIN confirms an API, the write path for an automated system is manual portal entry or a bulk upload template obtained from the account manager.
Webhooks and notifications
Not published. No event catalogue, no subscription mechanism, no signature scheme.
If an integration is eventually granted and push is not on offer, the fallback is polling a tracking endpoint per active waybill. For a B2B network with day-definite commitments, a two hourly poll during business hours is usually enough to catch every meaningful transition, and it keeps volume low enough to stay inside whatever undocumented limit exists. Do not poll delivered or cancelled waybills.
Rate limits and pagination
Not published. Nothing can be said about quotas, headers, burst behaviour or page sizes because no API is documented.
Mapping to the unified model
Only the shipments table is in scope, and it can only be filled once MOVIN grants access. The mapping below is the target shape to ask for, not a mapping of published fields. Every right-hand entry is unverified.
orders, order_items, listings, inventory, returns, settlements, customers and locations are all out of scope for this platform.
Gaps and open questions
- Whether an API exists at all. Nothing public confirms or denies it. A B2B express carrier at MOVIN's scale almost certainly offers machine integration to large accounts, but it is not advertised, and no aggregator lists it.
- The UPS relationship. UPS publishes a full developer programme with tracking, rating, shipping and address validation APIs. Whether a MOVIN domestic shipment is visible through UPS APIs, or whether MOVIN runs an entirely separate system, is the single most useful unknown. Ask it first.
- The aggregator route is thin. ClickPost, which publishes carrier integration pages for more than 400 carriers, has none for MOVIN, and Unicommerce does not list it. Shipmozo does name MOVIN as a courier partner, but Shipmozo publishes no API documentation either, so the indirect path is only as good as whatever specification Shipmozo will share.
- The tracking identifier migration. The public tracking page instructs customers to use a "New Tracking ID", which implies old references may not resolve. Any historical shipment data a shipper holds may be keyed on a retired identifier.
- Serviceability data. No public pin code serviceability list or file was found, and serviceability is the first thing a rate engine needs.
- Healthcare constraints. The HC GOLD and HC SILVER services imply temperature and chain-of-custody data that a standard shipment schema does not carry. If a shipper uses MOVIN Healthcare, ask what additional fields ride on the shipment.
