Woovly was an Indian social commerce platform selling makeup, skincare, bath and body, hair care and fragrance through creator made video catalogues. It described itself, on its own seller page, as "a Curated Social Commerce marketplace platform helping users discover and shop brands and products via video catalogues created by the influencer community". Sellers were brands, onboarded by a Woovly team through a contact form, paid on a monthly settlement cycle. There was never a developer portal, a credential console or a documented API. As of 2026-09-21 the site does not answer at all: woovly.com, www.woovly.com and woovly.in fail to connect, and the Internet Archive's last capture is from August 2025. This page documents the model as it stood, because the operating model is the reusable finding even when the platform is gone.
At a glance
What it is
Woovly started as a bucket list and lifestyle community and pivoted into video led commerce, concentrating on beauty and personal care at low price points. The storefront was organised by category, by price band, and by brand, with a live show surface and a rewards currency called coins. Its own copy claimed a reach of 8 million customers. Commercially it behaved as a curated marketplace rather than an open one: Woovly chose which brands to carry, the brand shipped or consigned, and Woovly settled.
Two details from the archived seller page are worth carrying forward, because they describe the commercial shape a connector would have had to model:
- Seller documentation requirements. GSTIN mandatory, PAN card, cancelled cheque, authorised signatory signature copy, and either a trademark or NOC or, failing that, an indemnity bond of 100 or 300 rupees. MSME certificate optional.
- Settlement. "A 7-15 days payment settlement from the date of delivery of products to customers", with payment made once a month.
That settlement shape, payment triggered by delivery date and disbursed monthly, is the one thing a settlements row would have needed, and it is the shape most curated Indian beauty channels use.
Evidence that it is unreachable
woovly.com,www.woovly.comandwoovly.inreturned connection failures over both HTTP and HTTPS on 2026-09-21.woovly.comdid resolve to35.244.54.145in DNS, which again shows that a live DNS record proves nothing.- The Internet Archive availability API returns a good capture at

API access
None, at any point we can evidence. Onboarding was a web form asking for a contact name, phone number and email, followed by a document exchange with onboarding@woovly.com. Order operations ran through a Woovly seller panel whose URL was never public. No aggregator we could check lists Woovly as a supported channel, including Unicommerce's public integration list.
Authentication
Not applicable. No token endpoint, header or key model was ever published.
Objects we can read
None through any public interface. For completeness, the objects that existed on Woovly's side were the ordinary ones: orders raised against a brand, order items priced at the promoted price, a listing per product with Woovly's own product identifier, brand held inventory, shipments arranged either by the brand or by Woovly, returns, and a monthly settlement statement. None of them was ever exposed programmatically to the seller.
Writing back: listings, price and stock
Not available. Historically, catalogue creation was Woovly's job: brands supplied product information and assets, and Woovly's category and content teams built the video catalogue entry. Price changes and promotional discounts, at the Under 99, Under 149, Under 199 and 249 and above price bands the storefront used, were negotiated rather than pushed.
Webhooks and notifications
None.
Rate limits and pagination
Not applicable.
Mapping to the unified model
Nothing can be populated today. If you hold historic Woovly data from panel exports, the mapping notes that matter are:
Gaps and open questions
- Whether the operating company still exists and whether a successor holds seller records is unverified.
- The commission and fee structure was never published. A
settlements.fees[]breakdown would have to come from a historic remittance advice. - Whether Woovly ever ran a seller API for larger brands, unpublished but available on request, is unverified. Nothing we could read suggests one existed.
- The date the site went dark cannot be established more precisely than "after 2025-08-14 and before 2026-01-01" from archive coverage.
