Roadcast

Roadcast is an Indian fleet management and last-mile delivery tracking platform: GPS vehicle tracking, route and dispatch automation, video telematics, fuel monitoring and yard management, sold to enterprises that run their own vehicles. It is not a carrier and not an aggregator, so there is no waybill to book and no rate to compare. What a connector could get from it is the operational layer of a seller's own delivery fleet: trips, vehicle positions, delivery status and proof of delivery. There is no public developer portal and no published endpoint reference. Roadcast markets "custom API integrations" as an enterprise service, which means the contract determines the surface.

Roadcast is an Indian SaaS company selling AI-assisted fleet management and GPS tracking. Its own site claims over 400 partners as of 2026-09-21, with named client logos including Blue Wheelz, Delivery Plus, MaxxLink, Mosfet, Mufin, Rakshak, Safeli and Whizz.

The product set, taken from its sitemap, is broad and hardware-inclusive:

API access

• No developer portal, no API reference, no pricing for API access, no partner developer programme. The partner page is a reseller and channel page, not a technical one.
• Host probing on 2026-09-21: roadcast.in serves the marketing site, www.roadcast.in redirects to it, and roadcast.co.in returns HTTP 502. api.roadcast.in, docs.roadcast.in, developer.roadcast.in, app.roadcast.in and dev.roadcast.in do not resolve at all. There is no discoverable API host.
• The enterprise page lists "API Integrations" as one of several bundled services, alongside hardware sourcing and installation support, and mentions dedicated support for "a complex API issue". That framing (a service delivered by their team, not a product you self-serve) is the clearest signal about how access works: the API is scoped and built per contract.
• No official SDK, Postman collection or OpenAPI document exists. A GitHub search on 2026-09-21 returned only unrelated projects that happen to share the name.
• Roadcast does not appear in ClickPost's 428-carrier integration list, nor in Unicommerce's shipping-provider knowledge base. That is expected rather than surprising, since neither aggregator integrates fleet-management software.

Authentication

Not published. No credential model, token flow, key format or header name could be found in any source. Nothing can honestly be said here beyond: ask Roadcast.

No sample call is given on this page, because writing one would mean inventing an endpoint, a host and a field name.

Not applicable, this is a fleet and delivery tracking platform. Roadcast holds no catalogue, channel price or sellable stock, so there is nothing to write back in the listings sense.

The equivalent write path, if it exists, would be pushing delivery tasks from an order management system into Roadcast for dispatch and tracking, and receiving status back. Roadcast's last-mile page states that the platform "integrates easily with ERP, CRM, and logistics platforms for smooth data flow across operations" and that customers can "customize delivery times, preferences, integrations, and reports as needed". No endpoint, request body or response schema is published for any of it.

Shipment creation and cancellation in the carrier sense do not apply: there is no carrier here to book with.

Webhooks and notifications

Not published. No callback mechanism is documented and no third-party source asserts one.

For a live GPS platform, a push mechanism almost certainly exists internally, since vehicle pings and status changes are the product. Whether a client can subscribe to them is the question to ask. If the answer is no, polling a position endpoint at the cadence a fleet actually needs (seconds to a minute) would be expensive and is unlikely to be permitted, which makes a push mechanism close to a prerequisite for any useful integration here.

Rate limits and pagination

Not published. No limits, quota headers, burst allowance or pagination model could be found anywhere.

Almost nothing maps, because almost nothing is documented. Recorded here so the shape is clear if Roadcast later supplies a specification:

Gaps and open questions

Everything is a gap. The questions worth putting to Roadcast, in priority order:

1. Is there a standard client API at all, or is every integration bespoke? The enterprise page's framing suggests the latter, which changes the cost of a connector completely.
2. If there is one, where is the host and where is the reference? No API host is discoverable by DNS.
3. Is there a push mechanism for position and status, or only polling? For a GPS product, this determines whether an integration is viable.
4. What is the delivery task schema and status vocabulary?
5. Is proof of delivery retrievable, and in what form?
6. Is there a sandbox?
7. Does data residency or AIS 140 compliance constrain what can be exported? Roadcast publishes on AIS 140, and regulated telematics data sometimes carries export restrictions.

Recommendation

Roadcast is a low-priority connector target for a commerce database. It is not a carrier, so it cannot populate rates, waybills, serviceability or COD remittance. It could populate live shipment position and delivery status, but only for sellers who run their own fleet on it, and only through a bespoke enterprise integration with no public specification. Unless a specific seller in the catalogue is known to use it, the effort is better spent on carriers with published APIs.

If the catalogue entry was created on the assumption that Roadcast is a shipping carrier, that assumption should be corrected: it is fleet management software, and belongs in the same group as LogiNext rather than with ShipDelight, Shadowfax or Vamaship.
