PopClub is the consumer app of POP, an Indian rewards and payments business built around a points currency called POPcoins. It is not a marketplace. Shoppers do not check out on PopClub: the brand directory links out to each brand's own website, and the purchase happens there. What POP sells to brands is a loyalty and rewards layer that plugs into the brand's existing Shopify store and marketing stack, plus placement in POP's discovery surface. That shape determines everything about the connector: there are no listings to publish, no price or stock to sync, and orders live in the brand's own commerce platform, not in POP.
At a glance
What it is
POP runs a rewards ecosystem in India. Its published components as of 2026-09-21:
- POPcoins, a rewards currency earned on transactions and redeemable across partner brands.
- UPI payments in the app, described as earning 2 percent POPcoins on every UPI transaction.
- A co-branded credit card with YES BANK, marketed with zero joining fees and 2,000 rupees in joining benefits.
- POPshop, a curated storefront described as carrying over 500 direct-to-consumer brands.
- A brand network described as 250 or more integrated retailers.
Two web properties are in play and both are live. popclub.co is the consumer-facing site. mypop.in carries the brand directory, per-brand pages, the FAQ and the partner page, and it is what popclub.co's own sitemap points at. The brand directory at mypop.in/allbrands is a grid of logos linking out to the brands' own domains, which confirms the model: POP is a discovery and rewards aggregator, not a checkout.
The partner list on the brand pages is recognisably Indian D2C: Anveshan, Perfora, Rubans, Tea Trunk, The Skin Story, Khadi Essentials, Bacca Bucci, Lil' Goodness and similar names.
API access
No developer portal, API reference, SDK, Postman collection or sandbox is published. The partner page is marketing copy with an enquiry route, not a programme specification.
What it does name is the integration surface, and this is the useful part:
- Shopify. The partner page states that a brand can "Integrate POPcoins with your Shopify store to unlock loyalty programs, referrals, bonuses, and more." That means the real integration is a Shopify app installed by the merchant, operating under Shopify's OAuth and scopes rather than under any POP credential you can obtain separately. The app's listing could not be located on the Shopify app store under the obvious handles, both of which returned HTTP 404, so its exact name, scopes and pricing are unverified.
- CRM and engagement. MoEngage, Contlo, Klaviyo and WebEngage are named.
- Checkout. Razorpay, Shiprocket, Zecpe, ShopFlo and GoKwik are named.
That list tells you where POP sits in a brand's stack: alongside the loyalty, engagement and checkout tools, downstream of the commerce platform. It reads the brand's order events; it does not own them.
If you need POP data for a brand you control, the shortest path is almost certainly not a POP integration at all. The orders are already in the brand's Shopify store, so read them from Shopify and treat POPcoins issuance and redemption as a discount or loyalty attribute on the order rather than as a separate channel. Only go to POP for the things Shopify cannot tell you: coin balances, redemption liability and attribution of traffic from the app.
Authentication
Not published. The Shopify app installs through Shopify's standard OAuth flow, so the credential that matters is a Shopify access token held by POP, not a POP token held by you. Whether POP issues a brand-facing API key, and whether any merchant dashboard exposes one, is unverified. No endpoint, header or token lifetime is asserted here.
Objects we can read
Nothing through a documented POP interface.
The objects POP must hold, and therefore the ones to ask about in a partner conversation:
- POPcoin ledger per user: earned, redeemed, expired, and the outstanding balance that represents a liability.
- Redemption events attributed to a brand and, presumably, to an order in that brand's store.
- Attribution: sessions or orders originating from the POP app or POPshop.
- Campaign and offer configuration for the brand.
Orders, order items, listings, inventory, shipments and returns all live in the brand's own commerce platform. Settlements, in the sense of a marketplace payout, do not exist here: POP is paid by the brand, and the brand is paid by its own payment gateway.
No schema, sample response or field name is published, so none is reproduced.
Writing back: listings, price and stock
Not applicable. POP carries no catalogue of its own. The brand directory links to brand websites, and the product a shopper buys is listed, priced and stocked on the brand's platform. There is no listing object to create, no price to push and no stock to reconcile.
The writes that do exist in this relationship are loyalty writes: issuing coins, configuring offers and applying a redemption at the brand's checkout. Those go through whatever the Shopify app exposes to the merchant, not through a documented interface.
Webhooks and notifications
Not published. Where the connection runs through the brand's Shopify store, Shopify's own webhooks are the reliable event source for orders, refunds and fulfilments, and they should be the backbone rather than anything POP provides.
Rate limits and pagination
Not published.
Mapping to the unified model
POP does not produce rows for orders, listings, inventory or shipments, because those belong to the brand's own store. The correct treatment is attributes on existing rows.
Coin balances and redemption liability do not fit the unified model at all. They belong in a separate loyalty table if they are needed, and they should not be forced into settlements.
Gaps and open questions
- The Shopify app could not be located on the Shopify app store under the handles tried, so its scopes, pricing and permissions are unverified. That listing is the single most useful thing to find next, because the requested scopes tell you exactly what POP reads from a merchant.
- Commission, fees and the commercial model for brands are unpublished.
- Whether POP offers any brand-facing dashboard export or API is unverified.
- Whether POPshop ever takes checkout in-app, rather than linking out, should be re-checked; the current evidence is link-out only.
- The relationship between popclub.co and mypop.in as properties, and which is canonical going forward, is unclear.
- The credit card and UPI figures quoted are as published on 2026-09-21 and will drift.
- Web search was unavailable for this page, so no news or funding coverage was reviewed.
