OneGuardian resolves to a Shopify store that has not launched. oneguardian.in redirects to theguardiangroup.in, whose storefront is theguardiangroup.myshopify.com and which currently serves Shopify's password page with the message "Opening soon. Be the first to know when we launch." That is the whole finding, and it is a useful one: there is no OneGuardian API to research, because OneGuardian is a Shopify store, and the day it opens the integration question becomes a Shopify question with a known answer.
At a glance
What it is
Not yet determined, because there is nothing to see. The storefront title is "Guardian Group" and the store is in Shopify's pre-launch state.
Two domains carry the name and only one is relevant:
oneguardian.com is a different company on a different continent. If anyone researching this entry lands there, they will write a page about a US life insurer. The Indian entity is on the .in, and its real home is theguardiangroup.in.
API access
None today, and none of its own ever.
Probes on 2026-09-22:
https://theguardiangroup.in/returns HTTP 200 but redirects to/password, Shopify's store password gate, with the text "Enter using password", "Opening soon" and "Are you the store owner? Log in here".https://theguardiangroup.in/collections/allalso redirects to/password.https://theguardiangroup.in/products.json, which on an open Shopify store returns the public product feed, returns HTTP 401. The password gate blocks it, which confirms both that it is Shopify and that the store is not trading.https://theguardiangroup.myshopify.com/redirects to the same password page, confirming the canonical domain mapping.
Because the platform is Shopify, the integration path is entirely determined and is documented at length on /connectors/shopify. Nothing in this page should be duplicated from there. The only OneGuardian-specific facts an implementer needs are the shop domain, theguardiangroup.myshopify.com, and the fact that a credential can only exist once the store is open and someone with owner access creates a custom app or installs yours.
Authentication
Shopify's model, unchanged. Either:
- an admin API access token for a custom app created in the store's admin, sent as
X-Shopify-Access-Token, or - OAuth 2.0, if you are a public app the store installs from the app store.
Neither is obtainable while the store is password gated, because both require a logged-in store owner. The password page's "Are you the store owner? Log in here" link is the only door and it is not yours.
Objects we can read
Nothing today. Once the store opens and an app is installed, the full Shopify object set is available: orders, line items, products, variants, inventory levels and items, locations, fulfilments, fulfilment orders, returns, refunds, transactions, payouts and customers. Endpoints, pagination, field names and sample responses all belong on /connectors/shopify rather than being restated here.
One thing is worth noting now rather than later. When a Shopify store removes its password gate, products.json becomes publicly readable without any credential. That is the cheapest possible signal that OneGuardian has launched, and it is a single unauthenticated request:
curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n" https://theguardiangroup.in/products.json
A 200 means the store is live and the catalogue is readable. A 401 means it is still gated.
Writing back: listings, price and stock
Through Shopify, once access exists. Products, variants, prices and inventory levels are all writable through the Admin API, with bulk operations for volume. See /connectors/shopify.
Webhooks and notifications
Shopify webhooks, once an app is installed. Until then, the only thing to poll is the launch check above, and daily is generous.
Rate limits and pagination
Shopify's, unchanged: a leaky bucket cost model on the GraphQL Admin API and a call-based limit on REST, with cursor pagination throughout. Nothing store-specific applies.
Mapping to the unified model
Identical to the Shopify mapping on /connectors/shopify. The only store-specific values are:
Treating OneGuardian as its own channel would be a modelling error. It is one Shopify shop among however many others you connect, and it should share the Shopify connector, the Shopify rate limiter and the Shopify schema.
Gaps and open questions
- What OneGuardian or Guardian Group sells. Completely unknown. The store has never been open and the password page carries no category, product or description.
- Whether it will launch at all. A password-gated Shopify store can sit unopened indefinitely. Nothing indicates a launch date.
- Why the catalogue entry says "OneGuardian" when the store says "Guardian Group". Most likely the entry came from a domain rather than from the business name. Worth confirming with whoever added it, since it also guards against the
oneguardian.comconfusion. - Whether there is a related live business elsewhere. A group with a
.inand a pre-launch Shopify store may already trade offline or on marketplaces. Not established here.
