Shop101 was an Indian social commerce and reselling platform. It let individuals, mostly working from a phone, resell apparel, accessories and general merchandise to their own WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram contacts without holding stock: the reseller shared a product, the customer ordered, and Shop101's supplier network shipped it. It competed with Meesho and GlowRoad in the reselling category and with Shop101-style storefront builders in the D2C category. It is no longer operating. Its own domain now serves a discontinuation notice, and no connector should be planned or maintained for it.
At a glance
What it is
Shop101 was a reseller-first marketplace. The model had three parties: suppliers who listed products and held stock, resellers who chose products and marketed them through their own social contacts at a margin they set themselves, and end customers who bought from the reseller. Shop101 handled catalogue, payment collection, logistics and reseller payouts. Cash on delivery was the dominant payment method, as it is across Indian social commerce, and return rates were correspondingly high.
The archived site shows the shape of the product clearly: a seller panel at shop101.com/seller/products/all-products/in-stock, invoice templates under shop101.com/docs/, a "BestSellersclub" programme, and a blog and knowledge base written almost entirely for resellers, covering questions such as whether GST registration is needed to become a reseller and what to do when the seller panel shows an order as delivered but the customer has not received it.
Current status
The platform is discontinued. As of 2026-09-21, shop101.com and www.shop101.com both return HTTP 200 with a single message and nothing else:
This website has been discontinued and is no longer available. We appreciate your interest and thank you for being a part of our community.
seller.shop101.com fails to connect and serves the same notice at the apex. There is no login, no seller panel, no app download and no support channel. Nothing is recoverable from the platform itself.
Shop101 should be marked dead in the channel registry rather than left as an unimplemented connector. Leaving dead channels in a catalogue as "no API found" invites someone to re-research them every few months. This one is settled: the company's own domain says so.
API access
None, and there is no evidence there ever was one.
- No developer, API or documentation path appears anywhere in the Internet Archive's index of
shop101.com. A scan of the archived URL list turns up a seller panel, blog posts, knowledge base articles, invoice templates and product pages, and no developer surface at all. - EasyEcom's public knowledge base holds 328 articles, including guides for comparable Indian social commerce and reseller channels such as GlowRoad-era Voonik and Mr.Voonik, Limeroad and Meesho. There is no Shop101 article.
- Unicommerce's integrations directory lists Meesho, GlowRoad, Limeroad and Mirraw among its niche channels. It does not list Shop101.
Neither of the two largest Indian order management systems ever built a Shop101 connector, which is consistent with there having been no integration surface to build against. Shop101's users were individual resellers on a phone, not brands running an OMS, so there was no commercial reason for one.

Objects we can read
None. The service is off. There is no data plane, no export and no archive access for former sellers.
If you hold historical Shop101 data from when the platform was live, treat it as a static import: load it once, tag it channel = shop101, mark it closed, and do not schedule any job against it. Historical reseller orders are still legitimate history for a brand that sold there, but nothing will ever update them.
Writing back: listings, price and stock
Not available.
Webhooks and notifications
None.
Rate limits and pagination
Not applicable.
Mapping to the unified model
Only relevant for historical data already in hand. If you are loading an old Shop101 export:
Gaps and open questions
- The exact shutdown date. The notice carries no date, and we could not confirm one from a first-party source in this session.
- What happened to the business. Reports at the time pointed to an acquisition and a wind-down of the consumer-facing reselling product, but no first-party announcement could be read, so nothing is asserted here.
- Whether any data export was ever offered to former suppliers or resellers. Almost certainly moot now.
